Note: Additional shipping charges may be required for the shipment of photographs to our artists. All paintings are shipped rolled in a secure container.
Guidelines & Recommendations For Successful Portraits
When you are ready to commission a portrait from paintingstogo.com we suggest that you use these recommendations and helpful guidelines to ensure the best representation of you subject, whether it be a person or your pet or other subject.
Send us full color photograph(s), 4" x 5" in size, of your subject or larger. Although we are very careful with photographs sent to us, we are not responsible for the loss or damage to it. So please make sure you send photographs which you can spare. We also accept high-definition digital images. The lighting of your photograph or digital image will set the mood of the work of the portrait commissioned. If your photograph is dark or moody, or bright and colorful, that is what your art will look like. Most importantly, the better the lighting defines the features of the subject, especially the eyes, the better we will be able to capture the personality and likeness on canvas. Please remember to protect your photograph when you send it to us, so that it is not damaged in transit.
